Dr. Ahmad Pear Salahddin is an Assistant Professor and Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at National Heart Foundation Hospital Sylhet, with 10+ years of experience. He completed his MBBS from Eastern Medical College & Hospital under Chittagong University in January 2012 and completed his internship at the same hospital from 21 June 2012 to 20 June 2013.
In July 2021, he earned a Master of Surgery (MS) in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from the National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute under Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka. He also completed a Certificate Course on Diabetology (CCD) from BIRDEM and a Certificate Course in Echocardiography (CEC).
He received training in General and laparoscopic surgery, Hepatobiliary surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic surgery, Pediatric surgery, Cardiology and interventional cardiology, Nephrology, Pediatrics, ICU and other critical care medicine. He has training and working experience at Eastern Medical College & Hospital, BSMMU, National Heart Foundation Hospital & Research Institute, National Institute of Cardiovascular Disease (NICVD), National Institute of Diseases of the Chest & Hospital (NIDCH) and Dhaka Medical College (DMC).
As a Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon, he has training in off-pump and on-pump beating and on-pump arrested Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG), valve replacement and repair, pediatric and adult congenital heart disease surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS), aortic aneurysm and dissection surgery, conventional and minimally invasive vascular surgery, esophageal surgery, lung surgery and other conventional and video-assisted chest surgeries.
