Dr. Aktar Kamal is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of the Covid Unit at M Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital, Dinajpur, Bangladesh. He holds a Ph.D in Internal Medicine (Nephrology) from Shandong University and an M.Med. in Critical Care Medicine from Shandong University, China, in addition to his MBBS from the University of Science and Technology Chittagong.
He has extensive postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Critical Care Medicine and Nephrology. His professional expertise includes critical care medicine, intervention procedures such as CV-line, arterial line, dialysis catheter insertion, A-V fistula, TPM implantation, endotracheal intubation and bronchoscopy, as well as mechanical ventilation. He is also trained in ECMO, CRRT, plasma pheresis and plasma exchange.
Dr. Aktar Kamal has research experience at Shandong Provincial Hospital affiliated to Shandong University and has contributed to multiple scientific publications in the fields of intensive care, lupus nephritis, sepsis-induced ARDS, diabetic peripheral neuropathy and other medical conditions.
