Dr. Dilara Jahan Mitu is a dedicated Child Dental Specialist and Paediatric Dentist. She is currently serving as a Medical Officer in the Department of Paediatric Dentistry at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), Shahbagh, Dhaka.
She holds BDS, MS (Paediatric Dentistry), DDS and MCPS (Dental Surgery). She has also completed FCPS Part-II in Orthodontics, giving her broader understanding of developing dentition, malocclusion and orthodontic considerations in growing children.
Her clinical expertise encompasses comprehensive oral and dental care for infants, children and adolescents, with particular interest in preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, pulp therapy, stainless steel crowns, space management, dental trauma and child behaviour management. She focuses on providing evidence-based treatment in a child-friendly, gentle and comfortable environment.
Dr. Mitu is also involved in academic and clinical research in Paediatric Dentistry, with professional interests in contemporary treatment modalities, dental materials and evidence-based approaches to improving oral health in children.
