Dr. Jahanara Khanom Sonia is a dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 11 years of clinical experience in women's healthcare. She is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized medical care to women throughout different stages of life, with particular attention to reproductive health, pregnancy care, and common and complex gynaecological conditions.
Dr. Sonia completed her MBBS from Ibn Sina Medical College in 2015 and successfully completed her internship in 2016. She subsequently pursued postgraduate specialization and completed her DGO from Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, under Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) in 2023. She further completed postgraduate clinical training at the Institute of Child & Mother Health (ICMH), Matuail, Dhaka, in 2024.
Following her advanced training, Dr. Sonia worked as a Registrar in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Ship International Hospital, Uttara, where she gained valuable experience in managing a wide range of obstetric and gynaecological cases. She currently serves as a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Lab One Hospital, Gazipur, while also continuing her private clinical practice.
Her areas of clinical expertise include antenatal and postnatal care, normal and high-risk pregnancy management, menstrual disorders, infertility-related concerns, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), vaginal infections, uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, menopause-related problems, reproductive health, and general gynaecological disorders. She is committed to providing appropriate guidance and timely treatment based on each patient's individual needs.
