Dr. K. M. Zafrul Hossain (Ripon) is a highly skilled Paediatric General, Urology, and Endo-Laparoscopic Surgeon with extensive expertise in the surgical care of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. He is dedicated to providing advanced, evidence-based, and compassionate surgical treatment, ensuring the highest standards of care for young patients.
After earning his MBBS from the University of Dhaka, Dr. Hossain completed his MS in Paediatric Surgery from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU). He further strengthened his professional expertise by obtaining MACS (USA) and advanced training in paediatric endo-laparoscopic surgery, enabling him to perform modern minimally invasive surgical procedures with excellent clinical outcomes.
Currently, he serves as the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Paediatric Surgery at TMSS Medical College & Rafatullah Community Hospital, Bogura, where he is actively involved in patient care, medical education, surgical training, and academic research.
Dr. Hossain specializes in the diagnosis and surgical management of a wide range of neonatal, paediatric, and adolescent surgical conditions, including congenital anomalies, neonatal surgical emergencies, inguinal hernia, hydrocele, undescended testis, hypospadias, circumcision, appendicitis, gastrointestinal disorders, intestinal obstruction, anorectal malformations, paediatric urological diseases, urinary tract abnormalities, and abdominal masses. He also has extensive experience in minimally invasive (endo-laparoscopic) surgery, offering children safer procedures, less postoperative pain, smaller scars, and faster recovery.
