Dr. Md. Abdul Jabbar is a highly skilled Colorectal, Laparoscopic, and General Surgeon with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and advanced surgical management of colorectal and anorectal diseases. He is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care using modern surgical techniques to ensure faster recovery, minimal discomfort, and improved quality of life.
After earning his MBBS degree, Dr. Jabbar joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health) and successfully obtained the prestigious FCPS (Surgery) followed by FCPS (Colorectal Surgery), reflecting his advanced training and specialization in colorectal surgery.
He currently serves as an Assistant Professor, where he combines clinical practice with teaching and academic activities, contributing to the development of future surgeons while providing high-quality patient care.
Dr. Jabbar specializes in the treatment of a wide range of colorectal and anorectal disorders, including hemorrhoids (piles), fistula-in-ano, anal fissure, rectal prolapse, rectal bleeding, anal pain, anal abscess, chronic constipation, colon and rectal cancer, and other diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus.
He is experienced in performing minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery as well as advanced colorectal procedures, including Rubber Band Ligation (RBL) for non-surgical treatment of hemorrhoids, laser hemorrhoid surgery (LHP), management of complex and recurrent fistula-in-ano, and specialized treatment for hemorrhoids during pregnancy. His approach focuses on preserving normal function while ensuring safe, effective, and long-lasting treatment outcomes.
