Dr. Md. Ashfakur Rahman is a highly experienced Gynaecology & Obstetrics Specialist with more than 35 years of clinical and public health experience. He graduated with an MBBS,from Chittagong University (CU)and completed EOC (CMCH) training, developing extensive expertise in women's healthcare, obstetrics, and gynecological surgery. Since beginning his medical career in 1989, Dr. Rahman has served in a wide range of clinical, administrative, and public health positions. His professional journey includes working as an **Internship Doctor, Medical Officer in private healthcare, Medical Officer with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), a France-based humanitarian organization, and District Coordinator of the EPI Project under UNICEF Bangladesh. He also served as a Medical Officer under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Bangladesh, before being promoted to Assistant Director and later Deputy Director in 2023 Currently, Dr. Rahman is serving as the Director (Acting) of Hamdard General Hospital, where he continues to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. His expertise includes the management of pregnancy, high-risk obstetric care, normal and caesarean delivery, gynecological disorders, and women's reproductive health. He is dedicated to delivering safe, ethical, and patient-centered healthcare.
