Dr. Md. Habibullah is an Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine at Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, and a consultant intensivist and internist with expertise in the management of critically ill patients. He earned his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College, MD in Critical Care Medicine from BIRDEM Academy under the University of Dhaka, and FCPS (Medicine) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS).
With a strong foundation in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and intensive care, Dr. Habibullah has undergone comprehensive postgraduate training across multiple disciplines.
Since joining the Bangladesh Civil Service (Health Cadre) in 2010, he has served in both primary and tertiary healthcare settings, contributing significantly to patient care, medical education, and health system strengthening. His clinical interests include Infection & Sepsis, Acute illness, Metabolic & Endocrine emergencies, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, emergency and critical care procedures, and evidence-based intensive care. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and has published peer-reviewed research on critical care, respiratory support, metabolic disorders, and emergency medicine, with a particular interest in improving outcomes in resource-limited settings.
Dr. Habibullah is recognized for his calm decision-making in high-pressure environments, strong ethical standards, and dedication to advancing critical care medicine in Bangladesh and beyond.
