Dr. Md. Omar Faruk is a Bangladeshi medical professional and specialist in Urology. He completed his MBBS in 2014 from Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and later completed his postgraduate specialization, MS in Urology, in 2025 following residency training at Bangladesh Medical University.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Faruk has gained diverse clinical and academic experience. He served as a Lecturer in Anatomy at Army Medical College Bogura (2016–2017) and completed government service under the BCS Health Cadre at Upazilla Health Complex, Akkelpur, Joypurhat (2019–2022). He has also served at 31 Bedded Hospital in Kamrangirchar, Dhaka (2025), and is currently posted in the Department of Urology at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Dhaka.
Dr. Faruk's primary clinical interests include Endourology, Uro-oncology, Laparoscopic urological procedures, and specialized care for Prostate Cancer.
He holds active professional memberships in national and international urological bodies, including:
