Dr. Md. Shaidur Rahman is a highly experienced Paediatrician and Paediatric Pain & Palliative Care Specialist with more than 15 years of experience in paediatric medicine and related specialties. He currently serves as Resident Physician (Assistant Professor) and Head of Outdoor Services in the Department of Paediatrics at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
He is recognized as the first Pediatric Palliative Care Fellow in Bangladesh, having completed specialized fellowship training in Pediatric Palliative Care. His expertise includes the management of children with advanced cancer, life-limiting illnesses, complex disabilities, severe pain and complicated symptoms.
His clinical expertise also includes Pediatric Neurology, NICU care, Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Haematology-Oncology, as well as procedures such as peritoneal dialysis, bone marrow aspiration and daycare chemotherapy.
He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based and family-centered care, with particular emphasis on pediatric pain management, palliative care, end-of-life care, communication, bereavement support and holistic care for seriously ill children.
