Dr. Md. Shawkat Emran is a highly skilled Neurologist with more than 12 years of clinical experience in diagnosing and treating disorders of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. He completed his MBBS from Comilla Medical College under Chittagong University and earned his MD in Neurology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He joined government service through the 34th BCS (Health) and is currently serving as a Consultant in the Department of Neurology at Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Dr. Emran completed his postgraduate training in Neurology at Chittagong Medical College Hospital and received advanced training in Medicine and Psychiatry. He also completed specialized training in Pediatric Neurology at the Institute of Paediatric Neurodisorder & Autism (IPNA), BSMMU, and in Neurophysiology (EEG, NCS, EMG) and Neuro-ICU at the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital (NINS).
He actively participates in national and international scientific seminars, symposiums, and workshops and has published numerous scientific research articles in the field of neurology. He is a Life Member of the Society of Neurologists of Bangladesh (SNB) and the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
Dr. Emran specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke, paralysis, migraine, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, peripheral neuropathy, spinal cord disorders, vertigo, neurodegenerative diseases, and various neuropsychiatric conditions. He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered neurological care while working to advance modern neurological services in Bangladesh.
