Dr. Md. Sultan Sarwar Parvez graduated MBBS under Dhaka University in 1998 and obtained his Master’s degree (MS) on Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery from National Institute of Cardio-vascular diseases (NICVD) in 2009. He got the fellowship degree from American College of Surgeons (USA), FICS (Cardiovascular &Thoracic Surgery) from International College of Surgeons, USA and achieved prestigious degree (MRCPS) from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK.
He has got advanced training in off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB) from India. He has also trained in minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
Before joining at square hospital, he worked as an Assistant registrar, Registrar and Junior Consultant at Lab Aid Cardiac Hospital from Oct’2008 to April’2012 and Junior Consultant at Ibn Sina Cardiac Center from May’2012 to Dec’2016, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Then he was appointed in the department of Cardio-Vascular Surgery of Square hospital in Dec’2016 and he has worked as Associate Consultant in Cardiac Surgery department till now. He has keen interest in Robotic Cardiac Surgery.
Dr. Parvez has published many articles in different national and international journals. He is a member of Cardiac Surgeon’s Society of Bangladesh (CSSB), Bangladesh association of Cardiovascular & Thoracic surgeons (BACVTS). He is also a member of EACTS, MACS(USA), MICS(USA)
