Dr. Mutasim Billah graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1988. After completing his internship from Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he was selected by the Ministry of Education, Bangladesh for fellowship training in the Cardiology Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital during 1990–1991.
After completing his fellowship, he went to Brussels for higher medical training. He worked at a University Academic Hospital in Brussels from 1992 to 1996 under internationally reputed interventional cardiologists Professor P. Block and P. Dendal and published scientific papers in European and American journals. He obtained a Diploma in Cardiology from the University of Westminster, London.
His professional experience includes work at Tertiary Care King's Hospital in Saudi Arabia, Academic Hospital Brussels in Belgium, and Dhaka Medical College Hospital, covering ICU and CCU care.
