Dr. Quazi Mehranuddin Ahmed completed his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College and subsequently joined the Government Health Services of Bangladesh. He pursued postgraduate training in Surgery and was awarded FCPS (Surgery) and MCPS (Surgery), along with FACS (USA). He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Throughout his career, Dr. Quazi Mehranuddin Ahmed has developed extensive experience in general, laparoscopic, and hepatobiliary surgery. His clinical interests have progressively focused on complex hepatobiliary diseases, including benign and malignant biliary disorders, liver diseases, hepatobiliary malignancies, pancreatic diseases, and advanced abdominal surgery.
He has received dedicated training in Hepatobiliary and Liver Transplant Surgery and is currently pursuing advanced training in hepatobiliary surgery. His clinical exposure includes major liver and biliary procedures, pancreatic surgery, complex abdominal surgery, and perioperative management of patients undergoing major hepatobiliary operations. He has also been actively involved in liver transplantation, including perioperative and postoperative care of transplant recipients.
As an academic surgeon, Dr. Quazi Mehranuddin Ahmed is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate surgical education. He contributes to the teaching and training of medical students, surgical residents, and postgraduate trainees, with particular emphasis on clinical decision-making, operative principles, and evidence-based surgical practice. He also takes an active interest in clinical research and surgical academic activities.
His professional interests include hepatobiliary surgery, liver transplantation, laparoscopic surgery, biliary diseases, hepatobiliary malignancy, pancreatic surgery, and complex abdominal surgery. He continues to develop his expertise through advanced surgical training, academic activities, conferences, workshops, and collaborative clinical practice.
