Dr. Asad is a Burn and Reconstructive Surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka. He specializes in the management of burn injuries, accidental trauma, complex reconstructive procedures, diabetic foot, chronic wounds, ulcers, scar revision, skin grafting, and corrective and aesthetic surgery.
He completed his HSC from Sylhet Cadet College and earned his MBBS from Comilla Medical College. He joined government service through the 24th BCS (Health) and later obtained his MS in Plastic Surgery from Dhaka Medical College under the University of Dhaka. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he completed an MPH (Master of Public Health) from a public university.
Throughout his professional career, Dr. Asad has served in various important positions, including Assistant Director in the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and UH&FPO at an Upazila Health Complex. He has also worked in healthcare facilities at the union level, including Union Sub-Health Centers and Union Health & Family Welfare Centers.
He has received extensive training and clinical experience in general surgery and plastic surgery at District Sadar Hospitals, various medical college hospitals, and several national institutes. With his broad clinical experience and specialized training, he is committed to providing professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care for individuals requiring burn treatment, trauma management, reconstructive surgery, and corrective procedures.
