BMDCA -33109 Dr. Md. Shariful Islam Johnny is a highly experienced and dedicated Cancer Specialist and Radiation Oncologist with extensive expertise in modern radiotherapy and comprehensive cancer care. He completed his MBBS from Rangpur Medical College in 2000 and joined the Government Health Service of Bangladesh in 2005 after successfully passing the prestigious BCS (Health) examination. Driven by a passion for oncology, Dr. Johnny began his journey toward becoming a cancer specialist at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (currently Bangladesh Medical University - BMU) in 2008. He later received specialized training in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH) in 2011 and earned the distinguished FCPS (Radiotherapy) qualification in 2016. To enhance his expertise in advanced cancer treatment, Dr. Johnny has undergone professional training at internationally recognized institutions, including Tata Medical Centre (India), GOP Hospital (Turkey), and LIV Hospital, Istanbul (Turkey). He has also visited leading radiotherapy centers in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore to gain practical exposure to the latest advancements in oncology. Dr. Johnny is highly skilled in delivering state-of-the-art radiation therapies, including: Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT) Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT) Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3D-CRT) Brachytherapy His clinical approach focuses on providing evidence-based, personalized, and compassionate cancer treatment, utilizing advanced radiotherapy technologies to achieve the best possible outcomes while preserving patients' quality of life. Currently, Dr. Md. Shariful Islam Johnny serves as a Radiation Oncologist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH), Dhaka, where he is committed to delivering high-quality cancer care and helping patients throughout their treatment journey.
