Prof. Dr. B. Karim (AKM Bazlul Karim Lovelu) is an experienced Neurosurgeon specializing in Brain & Spine Microsurgery. He completed MBBS from the University of Dhaka (1992) and MS in Neurosurgery from Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) (2007). He served in several renowned government institutions, including Faridpur Medical College Hospital, NITOR, Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, and BMU-PG Hospital from 1995 to 2007.
From 2007 onward, he worked in the private sector at Continental (formerly United) Hospital, Evercare (formerly Apollo) Hospital, and Enam Medical College & Hospital, where he served as Head of the Department from 2018 to 2024. Since 2024, he has been working as a Senior Consultant (Full-time) at Lab Aid Specialized Hospital, Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
His expertise includes Brain Surgery, Spine Surgery, Microsurgery, Head Injury and Stroke Surgery. He has access to advanced facilities including Neuro Navigation, Nerve Monitoring, Medtronic USA equipment, Carl Zeiss Germany operating microscope, CRM and modern microsurgical equipment.
