Prof. Dr. Rowshon Ara Begum is a Clinical Oncologist and Cancer Specialist with 30 years of experience in government service, including 21 years in Clinical Oncology at the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital, Mohakhali, Dhaka. She has served in various positions, including Assistant Registrar, Registrar, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor and Head of Department. She also served as Head of the Department of Radiotherapy at Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital.
Her qualifications include MBBS, MPH, DMU, MPhil and FCPS (Radiotherapy). She has received specialized training in cancer treatment in Thailand, Singapore and Japan. She currently works as a Senior Consultant at Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital and provides consultations at Ibn Sina Cancer Diagnostic Center and Labaid Cancer Hospital and Super Speciality Centre.
She is a life member of the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA), Bangladesh Cancer Society, Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), and Bangladesh Society of Clinical Oncologists.
